Description

The Connects2 CTAVGUSB009 adds supported USB music playback and a 3.5mm auxiliary audio input through a compatible original VW radio’s CD-changer connection. This model is discontinued and is offered from residual supplier stock; future replenishment is not promised.

Limited application

VW Golf 2004–2009 and VW Passat 2005–2010 only, with the compatible original RCD200, RCD210, RCD300, RCD310, RCD500, RCD510 or MFD2 radio and Quadlock CD-changer connection. Vehicle model and year alone do not establish compatibility. Mini-ISO Beta/Gamma systems, aftermarket radios, other radio generations and unlisted vehicles or years are outside this offered scope.

BEFORE purchase, a professional installer must confirm the original radio’s changer protocol, available/enabled port, supplied loom and required power/earth connections. An existing CD changer must be disconnected; simultaneous changer operation is not promised. This is not an interchangeability claim with similarly named Connects2 USB or Bluetooth interfaces.

Offered kit

One CTAVGUSB009 interface module with its vehicle loom, USB extension cable and 3.5mm auxiliary lead, as illustrated. The pictured offered module has USB and line-in connections. Built-in SD-card support is not included in this offered scope; no separate SD-card reader is included. Storage media, radio, Bluetooth module and installation are not included.

Legacy media and operation

Plan for compatible MP3 files on small FAT32-formatted USB memory sticks no larger than 4GB, arranged in CD-numbered folders according to the supplied instructions and the original radio’s changer capability, with no more than 99 tracks per folder. Exact folder count, display information and available controls depend on the radio. Check intended media before purchase; larger devices, SD-card playback, WMA, USB hard drives, iPods, smartphones and current operating systems are not guaranteed.

The auxiliary connection carries audio only and does not add full control of the connected player. This product is not represented as a modern phone charger or Bluetooth interface. No charging rate, firmware update or universal function-retention promise is made. Professional installation must follow the instructions applicable to the supplied unit.
