Description

The Connects2 CTAFOUSB005 adds USB music playback through a compatible original Ford radio’s CD-changer connection.

Limited application

  • Ford C-Max, 2007–2010.
  • Ford Fiesta, 2006–2008.
  • Ford Focus, 2004–2011.
  • Ford Mondeo, 2004–2007.

Only the square Visteon 5000C/6000CD radio with its volume control in the centre, CDDJ button and matching Quadlock CD-changer connection is covered. Before purchase, a professional installer must confirm the original radio model, connector, available changer connection and supplied harness. Other radios, oval units, Sony systems, navigation systems and unlisted applications are not covered.

Offered kit

One CTAFOUSB005 interface module with vehicle connection loom and USB extension lead. Radio, USB storage device and installation are not included. This offered version has a USB input only; it does not add an auxiliary audio input, SD-card slot or Bluetooth.

Legacy operation

The interface emulates a CD changer and plays supported MP3 music from a compatible USB storage device. The original Ford guide requires folders named DISC1 through DISC6 and recommends no more than 99 files in each folder. Folder and track selection uses supported original CD-changer controls; operation is not identical to a physical changer. Check your intended storage device, file format and radio operation before purchase.

This is not a universal connection or charging solution for modern phones, iPods, laptops or USB hard drives. No current-device compatibility, charging performance, firmware update or future replenishment is promised. Do not assume an existing CD changer can operate simultaneously. Follow the exact supplied installation guide and use a professional installer.
