Description

Alpine iLX-705E46 vehicle-specific media system for the BMW 3 Series E46 (1998–2007). Features a 7-inch 1280 × 720 display, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, DAB+ and Bluetooth. This is the iLX-705E46, not the older iLX-702E46.

Included installation components

One receiver assembly with Alpine panel cover, IBUS power harness, steering-control interface box and cable, and FAKRA-to-JASO AM/FM antenna adapter. The system supports the compatible original steering-wheel buttons. Photographs illustrate installation; the vehicle is not included.

Exact factory-equipment checks

The base installation scope is an E46 with original Navigation Business, matching dash/connections, standard non-amplified audio and no factory camera requiring retention. Navigation Professional with equipment in the boot needs the separately sold KWE-E46EXT extension. Original cassette/CD installations need the correct BMW carrier to relocate the climate-control panel. Harman Kardon or other amplified systems need separately verified integration and are not covered by this base fitment.

Provide production year, original radio type and dashboard/connector photographs before ordering. A compatible DAB aerial is separate; the supplied AM/FM adapter is not a DAB aerial. Cameras, camera adapters, navigation add-ons and additional vehicle-retention parts are not included. No universal factory-feature retention promise.
