Air Lift 78609 rear kit – shocks not included
A rear-axle air-suspension kit for compatible non-M BMW 1 Series E8X and 3 Series E9X installations. It includes two compact double-bellows air springs, the kit-specific lower control arms and toe links, mounting parts and PTC fittings. This is not a complete vehicle air-management system.
Essential shock requirement
Rear shocks are not included. Air Lift specifies separately acquired BMW E9X M3 rear shocks for the lower-control-arm mounting arrangement. Standard E8X/E9X rear shocks will not work. This shock requirement does not mean the kit is offered for M-series vehicles. Have the exact build, axle and compatible shock setup confirmed before purchase.
Supplied kit
- Two double-bellows rear air springs with kit mounting parts.
- Kit-specific rear lower control arms and toe links.
- 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch PTC fittings, mounting hardware and instructions.
The supplier states a nominal lowering capability of 145 mm / 5.7 inches. Actual usable height depends on the vehicle and correct setup; this is not a guaranteed driving height or clearance. No rear shocks, compressor, tank or management controller are included in this offer.
Instructions and application checks
The manufacturer reference is MN-907 for kits 78610 / 78609, BMW E8X/E9X non-M rear applications. Instructions covering the with-shock version must not be treated as additional parts supplied with this no-shock kit. Use the instructions for the actual kit and vehicle.
