Description

The Connects2 CTAVAGUSB002 provides supported MP3 playback from a USB memory stick through a compatible original car radio’s CD-changer connection.

Limited offered application

This listing is limited to VW Golf and VW Passat 1998–2003 with a compatible original Mini-ISO CD-changer system. It is not a universal VW interface. Vehicle model and year alone, or the presence of a similarly shaped connector, are not sufficient to select this kit.

BEFORE purchase, have a professional installer confirm the exact original radio, its supported changer protocol, available port, supplied loom and required power connections. Any necessary changer activation must also be confirmed. Quadlock systems, aftermarket radios, other vehicles and later radio generations are outside this offered scope. No interchangeability with CTAVGUSB003 or another similarly named interface is claimed.

An existing CD changer must be disconnected; simultaneous changer operation is not promised. Follow only instructions applicable to the supplied unit and original radio. Display information and available track/folder controls depend on the original radio; universal steering-wheel control retention is not promised.

Offered kit

One CTAVAGUSB002 USB interface with its wiring harness and USB extension cable. The illustrated module has a USB connection. A memory stick, radio and installation are not included. No auxiliary input, SD-card reader or Bluetooth module is included or promised.

Media preparation

The offered unit’s instructions specify MP3 files on a FAT32-formatted USB memory stick with a maximum capacity of 16GB. Create six folders named CD01, CD02, CD03, CD04, CD05 and CD06, with no more than 90 tracks in each folder. Confirm intended media and operation with the installer before ordering; not every USB device is guaranteed to work.

This is a legacy product offered from residual supplier stock, not a modern smartphone interface or charger. USB hard drives, iPods, current phones, other file formats, charging performance, future updates and replenishment are not promised.
