Description

ETON UG VW T6 F2.1 is the original two-way front speaker upgrade for compatible Volkswagen T6 Transporter/Bus/Multivan installations. It replaces the front-door bass/midrange speakers and A-pillar tweeters. This is not the three-way T5 kit, a T6.1 kit, or the later F2.2 model.

Supplied set

  • Two 200mm long-excursion bass/midrange speakers.
  • Two 28mm fabric-dome tweeters.
  • Matching tweeter cable crossovers and installation hardware.
  • Installation instructions.

The speaker system has a nominal 3-ohm impedance. An amplifier, radio, rear speakers and subwoofer are not included. No power-handling rating is specified here.

Vehicle and installation checks

Before purchase, have a professional installer confirm the exact T6 generation, build specification, factory audio system, amplifier compatibility with the 3-ohm load, speaker connectors, mounting locations and available space. Do not assume compatibility with a premium factory-amplified system, a converted van with altered speaker locations, or a later T6.1 merely because the vehicle is called a Transporter. Left/right-hand-drive trim and access requirements must be checked on the actual vehicle.

This is not a tool-free installation. The original fitting instructions require removal of the factory speaker rivets and adaptation of the original tweeter mountings. Professional installation is recommended. The manual also specifies VW rubber sound guides, available separately, for coupling the bass/midrange speakers to the door trim; the installer must check whether the existing guides can be reused or replacements are needed. Such replacement guides and any additional vehicle-specific parts are not included in this price. Follow the supplied crossover and installation instructions.
